in Como there is a Funiculare . its kinda works like telephric but it looks like a train .. to be honest i found it boring..

Como Lake .. very calm and beautiful place in northen Italy ..
Lake Como (Lago di Como in Italian, also known as Lario; Lach de Comm in Insubric; Latin: Larius Lacus) is a lake of glacial origin in Lombardy, Italy. It has an area of 146 km², making it the third largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. At over 400 m (1320 ft) deep, it is one of the deepest lakes in Europe, and the bottom of the lake is more than 200 metres (656 ft) below sea-level.
Lake Como has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times, and a very popular tourist attraction with many artistic and cultural gems. It has many villas and palaces, Many celebrities have or had homes on the shores of Lake Como, such as Matthew Bellamy, Madonna, George Clooney, Gianni Versace, Lake Como is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy.
we book our tour from a tour office in Milano, near to the Castello .. 70 Eurp per person
it took around half an hour to reach Como by bus ..
Our tour guid was called Alessandro (very common Italian boys name) .. he was so helpful and has alot of information and stories to tell about his home town Como.. first they took us to 2 churches.. then up to ride the funicolare.. then boat tour .. and last free time, but my husband and I plus 4 other people had another unplanned tour through the town streets. and Thanks so much Alessandro for the great information you provided.

الجزء الأول: كيف تصل إلى فينيسيا
Part 1 : how to get to Venice.
المسافة من ميلان إلى فينيسيا تقريبا 318 كيلو متر .. بالقطار مدة الرحلة بالقطار السريع ساعتين و نص و بالقطار العادي 3 ساعات و نص
Destination from Milan to Venice is around 318 km, by train it takes 2 hrs and half with the fast one and 3 hrs and half with the normal one.
بعد ما تعرفنا على موقع فينيسيا على خريطة إيطاليا .. نريد الآن ان نتوجه إلى محطة المترو الرئيسية التي يوجد بها خط القطارات الخارجية (الذي يذهب إلى المدن الإيطالية الاخرى و أيضا الاوروبية)..
OK now as we knew where is Venice on the Map .. we want to the Central metro station that has Railway in.. check this Underground map:
بما انا كنا ساكنين في منطقة الدومو فخذنا المحطة الموجودة هناك .. و اتجهنا الى السينترالي … شوفوها في تقاطع الخط الاصفر مع الأخضر … هاي المحطة الي فيها القطارات الخارجية
as we were living in Duomo area we took the underground station of Duomo, and we went to the Centrale station (check it on the map on the intersection of green and yellow line)
لما توصلون .. انزلو للطابق التحتي .. عشان تاخذون التذاكر .. شي اجهزة و تقدرون عن طريق الشباك
when you reach Central station .. go down stairs to buy the tickets, their are self service machines, and also windows..
سعر التذكرة على الدرجة الثانية 35 يورو على القطار السريع الي مدته ساعتين و نص …
و انتبهو على المحطة الأخيرة … شي في فينيسيا محطتين .. سانتا لوجيا و ميستر … ميستر هي المنطقة المجاورة الي هي مب موجودة في الماي … بس الي يقصدونها السياح هي سانتا لوجيا
ticket price on 2nd class on the fast train (2hrs and half) is around 35 Euro per adult
but Plz make sure that your final station is “St. Lucia” not “Mestre” .. the last one is the Inland … but the one that tourist visit is “St Lucia” (note: C in Italian is CH so we pronounce it as Santa Luchia)
